Vintage Wood Folding Game Board Chess Backgammon Checkers Folk Art Piece. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! Neat vintage game board case for your next game. The wood case of older wood was built around a folding board. The game board probably dates to the 1930s to 1950s, and most likely was made in the United States.

The game areas are painted on to the board on both sides. This is not inlaid wood. There is a chip of wood out of the back of the checker side of the game board. No splits to the game board wood faces.

Some touch up of some of the checker board side squares. The wood case has no drawers.

There is no locking latch when folding together (never was one). Nice exposed natural graining to the game board's wood where not painted.

Some finish loss, mostly to the checker board, still looks good. The game board's hinges are still securely holding the two pieces together. No playing pieces come with this board, just the game board pictured and described here. The game board is 17-7/8" long, by 16" across, by 1-5/16 tall. The board folded up is 17-7/8" long by 8" across.
