RARE Custom Made Art Glass & Wood Backgammon Game Board Set Complete. A rare art glass and wood backgammon game, appears to be custom made. The playing board is of art glass. It sits in a wooden frame that has a well for the playing board and 15 little wells on each side that hold the wood playing pieces. The wells are lined with velvet, black for the board and burgundy for the playing pieces.
Throwing cups and dice included. The glass board is about 18-1/8" x 15-1/8" x 3/16. The wood board is about 27" x 17" x 1.
The playing pieces are about 2" in diameter x 1/4" tall. The back of the wood board has a carve out square that likely held a maker plaque that is now missing. A rare and exceptional piece. In very good condition with some slight scratches and mars to the wood.We hunt down and sell items that are vintage, antique, art or nice contemporary objects, new or gently used.
