Egyptian Lacquered Backgammon/Chess Folding 14 Board With Mother Of Pearl Inlay. A beautifully hand crafted folding backgammon/chess board, intricately inlaid with mother of pearl and richly lacquered. Research indicates it was most likely created in Egypt. There are a three or four tiny little indentations to the front top and bottom edges.

A square with an area of light scratches, and a couple of light scratches to one corner. A slight flaw from production to the lacquer to the inside rim of the backgammon board (a white spot and linear crack to the lacquer). A box of draughts pieces included but they are doubtfully part of the original set, though they appear nice quality. When fully opened it is 35cms x 35cms and just inder 4.5cms in height.
